I just completed Week 3 of Whole30! That’s right, this week is Week 4 – the FINAL week!
I am thrilled to report that I definitely caught Tiger Blood during Week 3. On the last Whole30 post, I mentioned that Tiger Blood means something different to everyone. Turns out, for me, Tiger Blood means *drum roll please* consistent, all day, exuberant-level energy, an exceptionably better mood, and noticeable weight loss. It has been a long time since I have enjoyed seeing my reflection in the mirror – and I have been loving every minute of it! My clothes are fitting better, my skin is clearer and brighter, and, most importantly, I have a huge smile on my face. I have seriously been annoyingly high-spirited – just ask my co-workers.
I am using this amazing feeling as fuel to stay on track. This past weekend Andy and I went to a wedding with delicious looking chicken spaghetti and, of course, wedding cake! It was difficult, but I passed on both. Andy gladly ate my helping of cake so it “wouldn’t go to waste.” Truthfully, at this point, unless something like cake is sitting directly in front of me, I am not having cravings. I feel completely satisfied with the food options allowed within the confines of Whole30.
For instance, my co-worker gave me a recipe for Whole 30 meatballs, and I am looking forward to trying them out this week. Last week, I tried a recipe for sweet potatoes, and now they are my new favorite thing!
Beginning Week 4, I am just in awe at the difference in attitude a few weeks can make. Who knew when I began this three weeks ago that I would be embarking on what would ultimately end up as an amazing lifestyle change? I can’t wait to see if this feeling keeps up throughout Week4.
