Daily Harvest: Continued

IMG_1801My continuation of Daily Harvest felt like a success – so much so that I started to question the previous string of fails that I had before. I started my morning with a cacao and avocado smoothie and it was a delicious combination! The mixture also contained ingredients such as coconut, pumpkin seeds, dates, and zucchini. The flavor was delightfully creamy and mellow – I honestly loved it!

IMG_1803With faith a bit restored from breakfast, I tested my luck with a cauliflower rice and pesto bowl for lunch. Not always a fan of cauliflower, I was largely surprised with how yummy and flavorful this meal was. The lemon and pepper in the mixture really showed through, giving the cup an overall brightness that I really enjoyed. This flavor is not far off from a way I enjoy preparing my quinoa – warm with lemon and oil and grilled veggies mixed in.

These two flavors really restored my excitement in Daily Harvest. If anything, the surprise of it all is keeping me on my toes – and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow’s flavors will bring!

It is better to be busy than bored, right?

  1. Lady, I’m finally getting around to reading your blog posts and they’re so delightful, as expected!
I’m going to steal the pesto cauliflower rice idea for dinner this week. Out of everything you’ve described, it sounds the most refreshing now that the warmer dyas are here to stay! Also, kudos for sticking to a diet in the midst of being so busy!
